Green Commitment
What does it take to produce power tool accessories?
Let’s face it, the production of power tool accessories requires vast amounts of steel. And the production of steel uses many of our planet’s diminishing natural resources; the following resources are required to produce steel:
- Iron ore
- Limestone
- Coking coal
- Water
Not to mention manpower, technology, giant manufacturing facilities, tons of heavy duty equipment, and a sophisticated and costly transportation infrastructure to ship finished products around the globe. Additionally, the entire process of producing steel results in billions of tons of solid waste (1.28 tons for every ton of steel producted), water pollutants, and unclean air emissions.

How EAB mitigates damage to the environment
Because of our green exchange system, each year EAB Exchange-A-Blade saves the following resources:
- 88 tons of iron ore
- 46 tons of coking coal
- 7 tons of limestone

Our program also saves energy and reduces CO2 emissions
- 60% less energy used
- 58% less CO2 Emissions

Keeping used steel out of our landfills
Every year for 40 years, EAB has been actively collecting used power tool accessories as part of its blade exchange system. On average, we keep 60 tons of steel out of our landfills every year.
Help us make a difference
Participate in the EAB green exchange system and help keep thousands of tons of scrap metal out of landfills and prevent the subsequent negative effects. You can make a difference.
